How we make money

Lenditia is free to read and free to use. Here is who pays for it, what they pay for, and what their money does not touch.

Who pays us

Lenditia earns its money from financing requests. When you fill in the financing request form and send it, we pass your request to auto lenders, car dealers and loan brokers who work with us. We call them partners. They pay Lenditia for the requests they receive.

A request reaches partners only when you send it and check the consent box that lets them contact you. Reading articles, opening state pages or using the calculators does not send anything to anyone, and we are not paid for it.

What you pay

Nothing. There is no charge for reading the site, using the calculators, subscribing to the newsletter or sending a financing request. Lenditia never asks you for money, and no one should ask you to pay a fee to Lenditia to get a loan. If a company asks you for an upfront fee to “guarantee” or “release” a car loan, treat it as a warning sign; the FTC takes reports at reportfraud.ftc.gov.

Any loan you take is between you and the lender or dealer. Its rate, fees and terms are set by that company, not by us, and you are never obliged to accept an offer that results from a request.

What the money does not change

  • Articles. Partners do not write, review or approve our pages, and they do not see them before they are published. Our editorial policy explains how pages are researched and checked.
  • Rankings. We do not rank, rate or recommend lenders or dealers, so there is no list a partner could pay to appear on.
  • Calculators. The formulas are the same for every visitor and are published on our methodology page. No partner’s rates or products are built into them.
  • State pages. Each state laws page is researched from statutes and regulators and describes the rules as they are, including the protections a borrower has against a lender or dealer.

When an article ends with a financing request form, the form asks the same questions everywhere on the site; at most, a page pre-selects an answer that fits its topic, such as the type of financing. Whether a form follows or not, the article above it is researched and written by the same rules.

What we are not

Lenditia is not a lender, a car dealer, a loan broker or a government agency. We do not make credit decisions, set rates or arrange loans, and we do not promise that any partner will contact you or make you an offer. Partners are independent businesses; you can check a partner’s license as described on our licensing page.

What happens to your request

Your request reaches our inbox by email, is passed to partners, and is kept as described in our privacy policy, which also explains how to stop calls and texts and how to stop the sale or sharing of your personal information. Questions about how the site is paid for are welcome through the contact page.
